The NHS Transport Team ensures that all wildlife picked up by or dropped off at the Nebraska Humane Society is delivered to receive prompt, professional, and critical care at NWR. There are typically two shifts per day: 10am-10:30am pickup from NHS during Baby Season 11am-11:30am pickup from NHS during Non-Baby Season 4:15pm-6pm pickup from NHS Monday though Friday 4:15pm-5pm pickup from NHS Saturday & Sunday Both weekly and on-call positions are available. *NWR is currently unable to reimburse fuel or mileage.
This training has two parts: - The classroom training class, which is a PowerPoint presentation that goes over all pertinent information needed to become a NHS Transporter. - An in-person training at the Nebraska Humane Society touring the wildlife room and going more in-depth about the process. This second part's date & time will be determined during the initial classroom training.
