Volunteer Orientation

Nebraska Wildlife Rehab, Inc.

These Orientations are in-person, on-site training classes at our Baldwin Wildlife Center, located at 9777 M st. Omaha, NE 68127 Completing one of our Volunteer Orientations is the first step in becoming a Nebraska Wildlife Rehab volunteer. Volunteers are required to go through these initial orientations before they are allowed to sign up for any other training classes, such as our Mammal Nursery Training Class, or Humane Society Transporter Training Class. The orientation will start with a PowerPoint going over how to use VolunteerMatters, who we are, what types of volunteer roles we have available, and the basics of being a Volunteer with us. Then we will transition in to a Cleaning Training, followed by a Diet Preparation Training. The Covid Vaccination with a vaccine/booster that has been received within the last 12 months is required to be able to stay for the Cleaning and Diet Prep Trainings. If you do not have your proof of covid vaccination w/ recent booster, you are welcome to still attend the beginning PowerPoint part of the Volunteer Orientation. However you will not be allowed to any Nursery, Diet/Cleaning or Transport training classes until you have submitted the Covid proof.
